The mission of the Convention is to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ through preaching, teaching, and healing.
Purposes:
The basic objectives and purposes of this fellowship are as follows:
1. To unite local Baptist churches, district associations, and state conventions in Christian evangelism to fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through preaching, teaching, and healing;
2. To promote home and foreign mission efforts;
3. To encourage and support Christian education; and
4. To engage in other endeavors deemed fitting and proper to advance the cause of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
MEMBERSHIP
Annual Membership of the convention is representation and composed of delegates from affiliated northern and southern Indiana churches. Any Baptist church supporting the cause or desiring to support the work of the MLK, Jr. Memorial Baptist State of Indiana is eligible for representative membership. Any Baptist church in good standing with the district associations, PNBC-MWR, and PNBC is a member of this convention and may become an annual member by payment of the amount annually designated by the By-Laws and Constitution of the MLK, Jr. MBSC Executive Committee for annual representation.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Baptist State Convention is divided into departments which include Membership, Officers, Executive Committee, & Nominating Committee.
