Our pastors and our churches are part of the richness of our spirit through faith and the Word of God, we can "Reposition, Restore and Revive for Kingdom Work." Whatever we want God to do for us personally, we must be willing for Him to do through us to others. **Rev. Dwight A. Gardner - Trinity Baptist Church 1st Vice President Our convention was founded in the same year that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in Memphis TN. It was a fitting tribute to the life and legacy of a man who in the cause of justice changed the face of a nation. I believe that when the founders of our convention selected the name Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial State Convention of Indiana, they were doing more than honoring him; they were saying what our convention should be about. Who would have thought that 51 years after the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, the bell that calls us to rally for our freedom and stand against injustice and bigotry rings louder than ever. It is my prayer that we answer that call and stand. It is my prayer that as we celebrate our history, we also chart a course of relevant action in ministry and justice that will keep us viable for the next 50 years. Serving to the Glory of God. **Rev. Dr. Tony R. Guthrie - First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, Indiana 2nd Vice President Greetings from the desk of Rev. Tony R. What a privilege it is to serve as the 2nd Vice President of this august Body of Christian Believers.
